Kaduna State Major Tertiary Institutions Get New Administrators

In line with its commitment to strengthen the education sector, the Kaduna State Government has named new heads for two of its tertiary institutions.
A government statement said that the Governor has approved the appointments of Professors Shehu Dalhatu and Emmanuel Joseph Chom as administrators for Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, and Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, respectively. The appointment of the administrators is with immediate effect, and for a period of six months.

The administrators are replacing Professor Dalhatu Balarabe Yahaya, former rector of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria and Mrs. Hope Hajara Gajere, former provost of the Kaduna State College of Education. According to the statement, the Governor, on behalf of the people and Government of Kaduna State, has thanked the former rector and the provost for the services rendered to the state in their respective capacities.

The Kaduna State Executive Council recently approved the White Papers on the reports of the visitation panels to its tertiary institutions. A range of recommendations to strengthen the institutions were made and accepted. The new administrators are expected to oversee the implementation of measures to revamp the institutions within their six-month tenure.
