KADUNA NOT A CROCODILE STATE OR CITY: Part III

Meanwhile, prior to that time, the place called Kaduna today was known as Kucituko because of the thick mahogany trees that covered the area initially. Any other concept, I assure you, is pure fabrication and manipulation. I am confident of what I am saying because our parents used to come to Kucituko market, they used to go on their foot all the way from Kuja which is called Kujama today, they pass through Barnawa and cross the river close to the area where we have the two bridges today.

I want you to know that we had chiefs even in those days, Gbagyi community never exist without a leader, for example, we had chiefs in Kuja (Kujama), Kaso, Katarma, Gadani, Bugai, Kakuri, Kurmin Mashi, Chikun and others with their headquarters at Gwagwada where they met from time to time to discuss issues that concern their subjects.
