Again, a Retired ASP Shot Dead in Sanga
Report reaching us has it that Fadan Karshi, a major town in Sanga Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, has again been attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to Fulani militia. Around 9:00pm last night, the gunmen who appear to be on a mission, traced ASP Elisha Sambe (Rtrd) to his residence and shot him dead.
A report has it that “an eye witness, who do not want his name in print for security reasons, said the attackers were about 7 in number all dressed in black. According to the eye witness who was with the deceased just before the attack but narrowly escaped, ‘we were in front of his house as his generator was on when the attackers appeared. On sighting them, I took to my heels and immediately they open fire and shot ASP Elisha dead’ he said”.
Just a couple of weeks ago, precisely May 1st 2016, gunmen stormed Fadan Karshi and killed the District Head, Chief Bala Madaki in his residence alongside his nephew who was writing the SSCE- WAEC examination at Government Secondary School Fadan Karshi.
Since the violent campaign that started in 2014 which claimed over 800 lives, killings of individuals have continued unabated in Sanga LGA as people have been reportedly killed in their homes, on the farm, on the highways etc. Government and the security outfits drafted to the area have appeared either helpless or unwilling to end the carnage. Community leaders are seriously troubled about these happenings and have again sent a call to the Kaduna State Government and all security agencies to take proactive measures to curb this menace.
We hope the governor has taken note of this again!
