Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery Releases Admission List

We are glad to inform the general public that a total of one hundred and forty (140) candidates who were successful in the entrance exams have been shortlisted for admission into the Basic Midwifery (120) and Post-Basic (20) programs of the Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery (KSCON&M), Kafanchan for the 2016/2017 Academic Session. All candidates who applied are advised to go and check their admission status at the school’s notice board.

Unlike the previous years, the usual one thousand naira (N1000) acceptance fees usually paid by successful candidates have been waved as all payments are going to be made in the bank. Candidates are also expected to present their O’Level credentials for screening before they are offered the admission letters. Candidates must possess credits in at least five (5) subjects which must include the following:
1. Mathematics
2. English Language
3. Biology
4. Chemistry, and
5. Physics

It is still not clear whether a supplementary list should be expected.

The Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery program is expected to run for a period of three (3) years, after which successful candidates will be presented for both the School’s and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Final Examination to qualify as Registered Nurses (RN).

The admission into the Nursing program is expected around September this year (2016).

It will be recalled that an estimated four thousand (4000) candidates sat for the entrance examination on the 14th of January, 2016. The high number of applicants this year is not unconnected to free application letters offered this year.
