No End in Sight as Fire Ravages KASU ICT Centre Again
There appears to be no end in sight yet as fire disasters continue to ravage Kaduna State. This morning the ICT Centre of Kaduna State University (KASU) was completely razed down despite efforts by the fire service and students to bring the situation under control.
It is yet to be ascertain the cause of the fire, which broke out around 11:55am local time, though it will not be unconnected to electrical faults. Certain sources, however, said the fire started at the control unit.
The building which is the main source of students information and academic records and other relevant information is said to be completely burnt down bringing to a total number of four (4) government owned public places burnt down across the state so far this year.
It is unfortunate that this is coming at a time government at all levels is employing austerity measures to cope with their fiscal planning due the dwindling oil price in the international market. Fortunately, however, no dear life was lost.
