Jema’a LGA Scribe Pardons Inmates, Kaura Unearths 114 Ghost Workers

IMG-20151003-WA0002A total of 6 inmates regained their freedom from the Kafanchan prison in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The young and dynamic chairman of the council, Hon. (Dr.) Bege Kauka (Humble), freed these inmates as one of the activities marking the country’s independence celebration in Kafanchan.

Speaking during the occasion the chairman charged the freed inmates to be law abiding citizens and that they should rather engage in meaningful ventures such as carpentry, tailoring, welding etc. so as to be responsible people. He also encouraged others still in prison custody not to give up on life as one day they will gain their freedom.

In another development, the interim chairman of Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon. Ibrahim Akut, while fielding questions at the Rock-Side FM in Kafanchan today, Saturday 3rd October, 2015, revealed that a total of 114 ghost workers were identified across the different departments in the Local Government Council’s workforce during the just concluded screening exercise conducted in the state by the government of His Excellency Mal. Nasiru El-Rufai.

The chairman however revealed that those responsible for this crime and inhumanity have been fighting back at the government using several means to cover up for this fraud.

He also disclosed that the government would soon hand over the culprits to the appropriate agencies for prosecution.

The chairman also lamented on the decay in the primary education section he met in the Local Government Area, showing his dismay about the situation. He promised to establish 4 model primary schools across the Local Government Area and also promised scholarships to outstanding pupils in a bit to boost education in the area.
